Diane R. Scott

Described by artists she’s worked with as a “goal fairy,” Diane Scott uses the power of artists’ stories, artists community and "exponentialization" to take the magic out of the business of art for the next generation of artists.  Passionate about the need to give undergraduate arts students the ability to create balanced and thriving lives that include their arts practices, Diane creates processes, systems, networks and carefully curated experiences to help arts faculty employ these skills in their own practices and mentor them with their students.  As the founder and designer of the nationally recognized Artist INC artist professional development program, Diane now focuses on bringing her skills into the undergraduate arts arena both as an Associate Professor of Arts Management at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and through her writing, research and workshops.

Curriculum

Diane crafts educational experiences to teach artists how to manage the “non-arts” part of their artistic practices.  Diane expands the impact of this work by working with collegiate arts faculty to hone their own approaches and integrate these skills into their curriculum for the next generations of artists.
